Lucknow, July 27: The Uttar Pradesh BJP today said it would prepare a chargesheet listing failures of the Mayawati government, especially on the law and order front, and would launch a state-wide stir to highlight these shortcomings. An 11-member committee had been set up to draft the chargesheet which would list failures of the BSP government on law and order, drought and other fronts, UP BJP chief Rampati Ram Tripathi told reporters here.
An agitation would be launched across the state to apprise people about failures of the Mayawati dispensation, he said adding the chargesheet would be ready by the first week of September. The BJP would also raise issues like “rampant corruption in the state and misuse of the SC/ST Act by the powers that be”, Tripathi said.
Slamming the state government, he said the entire state should have been declared drought-hit instead of only 27 districts.
