BJP has no moral right to speak on corruption: Cong

Ranchi, December 11: Accusing the BJP of having corrupt leaders in its ranks, a senior Congress member today said the saffron party has no “moral right” to raise finger at others.

“The BJP removed its president (Bangaru Laxman) after the cash-on-camera episode (some years ago). Former Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda has not yet furnished account of 27 of the 53 MoUs and other contracts signed during his tenure…

With such leaders in its ranks, the BJP has no moral right to speak on corruption,” CWC member K Keshav Rao told a press conference here. He, however, did not take Laxman’s name.

Asking the BJP to carry a check on its own leaders before accusing others, Rao said one could understand if Atal Bihari Vajpayee had spoken on corruption, but other BJP leaders, who face corruption charges, should not talk on this matter.
