Patna : Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made the state legislative council elections a ‘prestige issue’, and added that he hoped the latter would not turn back on its words after the results were out.
“They have linked these elections with their prestige. Let the results come. All I want to say is that, BJP should turn back from their statements after the results.We are confident that we will win,” Kumar told mediapersons after casting his vote for the Bihar Legislative council elections.
Election for 24 seats of Bihar Legislative council were held earlier today. An estimated 94 percent voting was recorded during the polls.
Counting of vote is scheduled to take place on the July 10. (ANI)
