The Telangana unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has praised its Central leadership for the support it extended to pass the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill one year ago.
Addressing a press conference at State BJP headquarters here on Wednesday, BJP spokesperson Krishna Sagar said that passing of Telangana Bill in the Parliament on the same day in 2014 would not have been possible without the active support of Bharatiya Janata Party. By extending unconditional support, the BJP had fulfilled its promise of formation of Telangana State. He thanked the Central leadership for its support for the historic Bill.
However, the BJP leader said that the TRS Government was not working in the right direction to develop the new State of Telangana. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao appears non-serious on the development of Telangana and implementation of promises that he made during the elections and after formation of his government.
Krishna Sagar also dismissed the reports of TRS joining the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre and described them as mere speculations by a section of media. (INN)
