Ram Madhav, who is also the party’s point-man for Jammu and Kashmir affairs, lashed out the two main regional parties of the state – National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)- saying that both the parties are happy contesting the Lok Sabha elections while BJP wants to have the assembly election in the state.
“Both NC and PDP are happy in contesting the general elections while we have asked Election Commission to hold assembly elections in the state as early as possible,” Madhav said while addressing a press conference at a hotel in Srinagar.
He said that after the BJP pulled out of the coalition with PDP, the situation in Kashmir has improved.
