BJP national president Rajnath Singh today said his party always fought for Telangana as well as Seemandhra regions.
As Telangana bill was passed in Parliament, leaders belonging to Telangana region met the BJP president to express their thanks for supporting the bill, which paved way for formation of new State for Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajnath Singh said the party has kept its promise made to Telangana people by extending support to the bill in Parliament. He asked the people of the two regions, though the State was divided geographically, but they should live together as brothers. He also advised Telangana leaders to provide protection to Seemandhra people living in Telangana region.(NSS)
