Adilabad, March 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday demanded Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrashekhar Rao to come clean on his relationship with Congress party.
The party accused him of mortgaging Telangana’s self respect to the ruling party as is evident by his latest statements.
“Seek people’s consent”
At a press conference here BJP district president Ravula Ramnath said, it was strange that Mr. Rao said he would take people’s consent before merging his party with Congress. “KCR should make his intentions clear”, he demanded. The BJP president said his party would conduct the 45-day Jan Jagaran programme in the district starting April 6.
He said the first phase would consist of district leaders visiting villages, second phase would see State leaders of the party visit mandal headquarters and the final phase to end on May 15 will have BJP national leaders come to the district headquarters.
Issues
They will stage agitations and address public meetings on corruption, inflation, black money and separate Telangana issues.
