BJP flags Cong leaders’ Pulwama remarks

Panaji: BJP national spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Wednesday said remarks of Congress leaders, since the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, were unbecoming of national political discourse and tantamount to questioning the commitment and sacrifice of armed forces.

“We seek a clarification from the Congress. What is your actual position? Are you again doubting the service and sacrifice of our brave soldiers. Are you again asking for proof?” Sharma said at the state BJP headquarters, here on Wednesday.

“Are you again giving a clean chit to those who have claimed responsibility (JeM), which amounts to clean chit to Pakistan,” Sharma said.

She pointed to comments of Congress national spokesperson Ranjit Singh Surjewala and president Rahul Gandhi.

Sharma said despite an assurance by Gandhi that the terror attack at Pulwama and the aftermath would not be politicised, several Congress leaders were raising doubts about the veracity inputs related to the February 14 attack.
