BJP determined to promote nationalism in country: Yogi Aditynath

Gorakhpur: Expressing confidence of winning the ongoing Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh with a majority of votes, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said his party is determined to provide development and promote nationalism in the country.

“None of our campaigns was communal. The BJP agenda is to provide development and promote nationalism in the county.

The people have witnessed how Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked in the Centre and that is why, they are supporting us. The BJP will win the Assembly elections with a majority of votes,” said Adityanath after casting his vote.

Adityanath said the development of Uttar Pradesh is only possible under the rule of the BJP Government. He also attacked the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) saying that both the parties have chosen candidates with corrupt and criminal background and the people of Uttar Pradesh are not going to vote in favour of them.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made for electorates at 17,926 polling booths across 49 Assembly seats.
This phase of polling will also cover districts bordering Nepal.

The Indo-Nepal border was, hence, sealed a day before the election process began. The districts going to polls are Mau, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Ballia and Azamgarh. Around 1.72 crore voters, with 94.60 lakh men and 77.84 lakh women, will decide the fate of 635 candidates.
