Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive Member and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya today asked the UPA Government at the Centre to revert the decisions taken by it to allow FDI in multi-brand retail, cap on gas cyclinders for each family and increase in diesel prices. Addressing a press conference here, Mr Dattatreya strongly objected to the statement made by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that Money did not grow on trees, while addressing the nation. Mr Dattatreya sarcastically said the Prime Minister, it seemed, was not aware of the Rs 1.6 lakh 2G Spectrum scam and Rs 1.8 lakh crore coalgate scam in his regime and questioned from where these money had grown. BJP-led NDA under the Prime Ministership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee had initiated developed National Highways, Railways and laid rural roads, he claimed and alleged that in the UPA II’s regime, the reforms were only to burden the common people.
