BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy, demanded government to immediately release notification to conduct local body elections, basing on the interim-orders issued by supreme court. He also demanded YSRCP leaders Sharmila and Anil to prove their sincerity with regard to allegations made by his party’s spokesperson NVVS Prabhakar.
Speaking to the media persons at the state secretariat on Monday, he recalled that court has given a verdict in his party’s favor when it has filed case three times earlier, opposing religious reservations granted to Muslims.
In this regard he demanded the government to implement 34 percent reservations for BCs, instead of offering religious reservations.
He criticized that in the previous municipal elections, BC’s faced injustice in 19 places, due to the grant of Muslim reservations.
He commented that village-administration was paralyzed because of the delay in conducting local-body elections and lack of developmental funds.
He accused that YSRC leader Sharmila and Anil were making crores of rupees of illegal money in the name of religion, while YSR also looted similarly during his regime in the name of religion.
