Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao set up monitoring system by appointing special teams to look after student welfare hostels in the State.
Speaking to the media at Assembly media hall here on Sunday, Ponguleti alleged that while the condition of the girls and boys of the hostels was in a bad condition, the State government was telling “cock and bull” stories. Finding fault with the State BJP’s statement that it will come to power in the coming elections, Ponguleti said the local BJP leaders were day dreaming for power. He asked the BJP leaders, who brought Central ministers to Bhadrachalam town, to tell whether they failed to show the villages submerging in Polavaram project.
He wondered that the union ministers were not responding though they knew that the Bhadrachalam town will submerge in case the Polavaram project constructed with the present design. He ridiculed TTDP working president for saying that the Congress party failed as an opposition party in the Legislative Assembly and said that the condition of the TDP as turned as the castor oil tree. He questioned Revanth Reddy to tell as to what happened to his vote for note case and whether it was it was not a fact that both Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao entered into match fixing or not.
