The BJP and the CPI have extended their full support to the Telangana Bandh call given by the TRS on December 5, to protest against the proposal of Rayala-Telangana state.
BJP state President G Kishan Reddy said the Centre should explain why the decision of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) for formation of Telangana state with 10 districts has been modified.
The CPI state Secretary Dr K Narayana demanded that the move of R-Telangana should be withdrawn immediately. Mounting a scathing attack on the Centre, he said it has been playing football with the lives of the people by pushing forward different ideas. He criticised the Centre for trying to create differences between the people of different regions.
CPI Legislature party leader Gunda Mallesh questioned whether the Centre pushed forward this new proposal to blackmail the TRS and get it merged in Congress or to deceive the Muslims once again as stated by the MIM. He flayed YSRCP leader Jagan for shedding crocodile tears with a view to loot Telangana. (NSS)
