BJP core group meets; to demand Raja’s resignation

New Delhi, November 10: The BJP core group today decided that it will demand the resignation of Telecom Minister A Raja in the wake of his reported indictment by CAG in 2G spectrum allocation and reiterate its demand for JPC probe into the issue as also CWG and Adarsh housing society scams.

The core group of BJP leadership met at senior party leader L K Advani’s residence to discuss the party’s strategy in the ongoing winter session of Parliament.

The party had earlier also decided that it would make corruption in implementation of government schemes a key issue and take on the UPA on the three major scams that have come to light in recent days.

Top BJP sources said the core group reached a decision on demanding Raja’s ouster after the CAG submitted his report to the government today.
