BJP Floor Leader E Laxminarayana on Thursday blamed the government for not taking up any pressing issues for discussion in the budget session of the Assembly.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, he said that though there were many public issues including drought, power, Telangana, farmers and corruption, it failed to discuss them. “There is no meaning of running the House if the government forces the Speaker to adjourn it abruptly without discussing people’s issues,” he said.
Laxminarayana said that the people would lose their confidence on legislative bodies if they fail to discuss their problems. He alleged that the governance in the State came to a standstill due to the arrogant attitude of the government. He said that the BJP would intensify its agitation against the government on people’s problems. (INN)
