New Delhi, April 22 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday condemned the government”s move of to provide ”Z” category security to Reliance Industries Limited Chairman, Mukesh Ambani. BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said: ” It is against the union spirit of the constitution. Security is a state subject under Schedule 7, and it is the state government, which has to decide. In this case, 23 security personnel will be provided to him. This kind of security has only been given to high-ranking government officials in terrorist inflicted places like Kashmir. This will surely send a wrong signal, that it is only the privileged few that are given such security by the government. It is to flaunt it as a status symbol who have a battery of gun trotting commando behind your back.” Ambani is reported to have “Z category” security that is usually reserved for politicians and top-level civil servants.
