Etah (UP): Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpai today met party workers and ward in-charges of 18 districts in the state, in the wake of the upcoming Panchayat elections.
Bajpai underlined the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and asked the party workers to pull up their socks and work hard for the Panchayat elections.
The crime against women is rising day by day in the Samajwadi party regime, with people living in constant fear under the goonda raj, he told reporters here.
People belonging to all sections of the society, including farmers and students are getting adversely affected by the Uttar Pradesh government.
There have been complaints of no electricity supply to the farmers, Bajpai said.
The BJP leader asked the ward in-charges to visit the homes of people and assist the people in overcoming their hurdles.
The panchayat elections would be held between September 9 and December 15 in the state.
