BJP in centre would end corruption: Gadkari

Raipur, April 16:BJP president Nitin Gadkari today said here that the corruption in the country would end once BJP returns to the power in the Centre.

Addressing a rally against corruption, inflation, and black money, Gadkari said Congress ruled the country for most of the post-Independence period, and during its rule, corruption increased.

If voters were to send BJP back to power in New Delhi, it would bring back the black money in foreign accounts, he said.

He alleged that Congress government in Maharashtra was harassing a police officer who was investigating the case against stud farm owner, Hasan Ali Khan.

The BJP president said that there were at least 20 lakh people in India who subsisted on the income of Rs 20 a day, which was the fall-out of the corruption.

He also appealed to the naxals to give up violence and participate in the development process.

Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh too spoke on this occasion.

Singh claimed that during the six-year NDA rule, inflation was under control, but it started soaring once Congress came to power.
