New Delhi : Expressing his support towards Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday said if she takes over the post then she must also take ahead the atmosphere of development and faith created by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the valley.
“Hope that the atmosphere of development and faith created by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in Jammu and Kashmir will be taken ahead by Mehbooba ji if she becomes the Chief Minister,” Naqvi told ANI here.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the ruling PDP President and MP Mehbooba Mufti is expected to become new Chief Minister of the State following demise of her father and former CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed yesterday
PDP has unanimously decided to support her for the top post of Chief Minister. The coalition partner BJP said it will go with PDP’s choice on Chief Minister’s post.
BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav is visiting today to meet State’s party leaders to ensure smooth transition of power in the State. (ANI)
