Kolkata, April 18: Criticising the UPA government over the price rise issue, BJP today said the Congress-led coalition does not have any roadmap for checking prices of essential commodities.
“The Centre has no roadmap for controlling rising prices, despite repeated demands by the entire opposition,” senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi told a press conference here.
Expressing concern over the issue, Joshi said his party would hold a rally on April 21 near Parliament to force the Centre frame an immediate action plan to contain price rise.
Claiming that they have the required floor coordination with other opposition parties, he said the BJP was set to move a cut motion in Parliament on the issue.
Joshi also demanded that there should be national consensus on exact number of BPL persons in the country.
