BJP assures all support to Andhra farmers

Amalapuram, August 24: Senior BJP leader and former Agriculture Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday assured the distressed farmers that the BJP would provide interest-free loans to farmers if voted to power.

Addressing a gathering of farmers at Pedapudi near Amalapuram in East Godavari district, Rajnath Singh slammed the state government for its failure to provide relief measures to farmers, who declared ‘Crop Holiday’ to highlight government’s failure in giving remunerative price for their crop produce.

Rajnath Singh said that the BJP government would raise the issue of farmers’ problems in the Parliament and would fight for their cause. “The BJP will fight for the farmers cause until they receive due justice from the government,” he stated. If the BJP government voted to power at the Centre, he assured that the farmers would be given interest free loans.

Earlier, Rajnath Singh took out padayatra from Ainavali to Pothukuru and personally contacted farmers to know their problems. BJP MLA G Kishen Reddy and other district leaders accompanied him.
