BJP asks TRS to stop making false allegations

State BJP general secretary N. Ramchander Rao has alleged that the TRS was making false allegations against the BJP as the date of by-elections is fast approaching.

In a pressnote released here today, Ramchander Rao stated that TRS leader T. Harish Rao told a press conference that senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj did not speak about Telangana in Parliament. Harish Rao had also questioned why State BJP president and MLA G. Kishan Reddy did not resign from his Assembly seat while others did it for the cause of separate Telangana State. He stated that Harish Rao had said that Sushma Swaraj had only reacted to the agitation by the TRS cadre in Parliament.

Ramchander Rao stated that the TRS appeared to be shaky as the BJP was likely to win the Parkala seat and therefore resorting to baseless allegations. In fact, the BJP cadre in Telangana had supported the 41-day Sakala Janula Samme. He alleged that the TRS has no cadre, no organization and only they are thriving upon Telangana issue and the leadership is only confined to a family and therefore the TRS allegation that Sushma Swaraj only reacted to TRS agitation in the Parliament is false, baseless and misleading statement.

With regard to Kishan Reddy not submitting resignation for cause of Telangana, the BJP questioned why the TRS MPs K. Chandrasekhara Rao and Vijaya Shanti did not resign. He also asked how many times these two leaders attended Parliament and opened their mouth on Telangana. They always played a second fiddle to the BJP leaders, he added.
Ramchander Rao recalled that it was senior BJP leader Prakash Javadekar, who moved a private Bill in the Rajya Sabha on Telangana and debate took place. “The TRS has no patent right on Telangana issue. It is a desire of the crores of people of Telangana. The BJP advises TRS not to indulge in false and baseless allegation and mislead the people against BJP”, he added. (NSS)
