BJP asks Nitish to get rid of ‘jungle raaj’ under ‘Super CM’ Lalu

New Delhi : Taking a jibe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over reports that he was making all efforts to form a ‘mahagathbandhan’ in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2017 assembly polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday asked the former to focus on his state where ‘jungle raaj’ is on the rampant courtesy RJD boss Lalu Prasad Yadav who is acting like the ‘Super CM’.

“The ‘Super CM’ of Bihar is Laluji. Take steps to get rid of the prevailing ‘jungle raaj’ and work for development. You ( Nitish) cannot handle one state and now you are shifting your focus towards another state,” said BJP spokesperson Srikant Sharma.

The BJP leader also used the occasion to target the ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.

“The people in Uttar Pradesh want roads, electricity and the youth want employment. The women want security, good law and order situation, the traders want security and the farmers want water for their fields. The Samajwadi Party Government has failed miserably on all these fronts,” he said.

Sharma further said the people trusted the Samajwadi Party so that they get rid of Mayawati-led BSP rule.

“But Akhilesh has failed miserably. The infighting within the family, corruption and the deteriorating law and order situation has disturbed the people of Uttar Pradesh who are now looking for a change. The people are now looking to the BJP with a ray of hope,” he added.

The Samajwadi Party has, however, made its stand clear and said that it would go solo and not become part of any grand alliance.

The Mulayam Singh Yadav-led party had also walked out of the JD (U)-RJD-Congress grand alliance in Bihar and formed a third front to contest the assembly polls. (ANI)
