Telangana BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman on Wednesday asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to implement the recommendations of 10th Pay Revision Commission by providing 70 per cent Fitment Benefit to nearly four lakh employees and pensioners of the State Government on the occasion of Dassera.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, Dr Lakshman said that the erstwhile Congress Government had constituted 10th Pay Revision Commission in 2013 and an Interim Relief @ 27% was given w.e.f. 01st January, 2014 pending submission and implementation of 10th PRC. The said PRC headed by IAS officer PK Agrawal, after marathon exercise and consulting the recognized Employees Unions/Associations had submitted a detailed recommendatory report to the Government in May 2014 and the same is pending with the State Government for the last five months for implementation.
“It is further to bring to the notice of the Chief Minister that due constitution and implementation of PRC every five years to provide relief to the employees in tune with the burgeoning rise in prices and inflation, as of now the employees over a period of last thirty years were put to two PRCs causing immense financial loss thereby decreased their purchasing power,” the BJP leader said.
He reminded the Chief Minister that the TRS Party had promised to implement and extend Pay Revision benefits on par with the Government of India in its election manifesto. “Ever since the formation of the state on 2nd June and since the PRC Report is pending with the State Government and the four lakh employees working in various categories in the Government of Telangana are eagerly waiting with burning candles in their eyes for implementation of PRC @ 70% Fitment Benefit,” he said.
Therefore, Lakshman demanded that the PRC recommendations be implemented without further delay. (INN)
