BJP asks DMRC to make Metro more user friendly

New Delhi, November 18: Concerned over problems faced by passengers travelling in Metro, Delhi BJP today asked DMRC to make the network more user friendly by increasing the number of trains between major destinations.

In a letter to DMRC Managing Director E Sreedharan, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly V K Malhotra also suggested increasing the number of coaches in trains to ensure comfortable travel.

He said most of metro trains are often over crowded which makes the journey very difficult.

Malhotra also criticised the DMRC for the recent technical snags and asked Sreedharan to focus more on passenger amenities.

“Take effective and qualified steps to reduce recovery time from technical snags,” he said.

Malhotra also suggested setting up of public conveniences outside major metro stations.
