BJP asks CM to tackle liquor menace

Telangana BJP president Dr. K Laxman on Monday demanded the State Government to impose ban on the sale of liquor in the state.

Speaking to media persons, the BJP chief said that there has a rampant sale of liquor in the state and belt shops are being operated without any regulations. He said that the illegal sale of liquor through belt shops is making the lives of poor and middle classes miserable and is adding to their woes. He said that the party would support the hunger stir of Prof. Sheshagiri Rao on November 11 demanding ban on liquor sale.

He said that the party would launch demonstrations across the state if the state government does not come up with a plan to deal with the menace. (INN)
