Recently, the government of Karnataka had raised the superannuation age to 62 years. However, the superannuationage in AP is still 60 years.
Mr Dattatreya said he strongly recommends that the state government should consider its policy on raising supernnuation age to attract and retain the talent in higher education and to utilise the experience of senior teachers and researchers. He said, ”The state government is yet to implement revised UGC pay scales for the university teachers as per the recommendations of 6th Pay Commission. I request you to implement UGC pay scales immediately.”
