The BJP manifesto for the simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and Odisha assembly, Thursday announced interest-free loans for students and farmers.
If voted to power in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party said it will pay monthly allowances of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 respectively to unemployed unskilled and skilled youth.
The manifesto released by BJP state in-charge Arun Singh and national secretary Dharmendra Pradhan offered interest-free loans to students and farmers for the first year for their agriculture activities.
The manifesto said farmers would be charged one percent, two percent and three percent interest rates in the second, third and fourth years. All loans would be waived during national calamities.
Polling will be held April 10 and 17 for the state’s 21 Lok Sabha and 147 assembly seats.
