BJP and Congress trying to divide the country on basis of caste and religion says Abdul Azeem

In a party meeting held in Udupi district at the residence of minority unit president Maravanthe Mansoor Ibrahim here on February 8, the State JD(S) General Secretary Abdul Azeem said “the minority community has been supporting the Congress party, for the past 66years. Now, they have to change their direction and support JDS because the party is trying to develop the minority community.

The JDS party plans to hold a campaign on March 4 at Nehru Maidan Mangalore where over 1 lakh backward community people are expected to participate. Narendra Modi has been nominated by BJP as their prime ministerial candidate and the Congress is yet to decide their candidate. In the mean while, 11 regional parties will hold a joint rally at Bangalore Palace in the 3rd week of February.

Mr. Abdul Azeem said, “it is proved that Sonia Gandhi’s close relatives gained profit from diesel, petrol, LPG and helicopter dealings. In the coming elections any party needs to win 273 Seats for the formation of a government. Only the third front is capable of getting majority. The minority community has not gained anything from the Congress so far. BJP is trying to divide the country on the basis of religion and the Congress is using the caste system. Our PM Manmohan Singh is only for the name sake. Sonia and Rahul Gandhi are ruling our country and our Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh is just a puppet in their hands” he said.

“A Hindu and Muslim leaders meeting can be held to solve the ‘Ullal issue’. As human beings it is our duty to maintain peace in the society. I urge the minority community to support JD(S) party headed by Deve Gowda” he said.
