Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya has claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party was the only alternate to Telangana Rashtra Samithi in Telangana State.
Addressing the party’s executive meeting at Kompally here on Sunday, Dattatraya announced that the BJP would contest the next General Elections in 2019 alone. He said that the BJP would strengthen its base across Telangana State and would emerge victorious in next elections.
Dattatraya assured that the BJP-led NDA Government would fulfill all the promises that it made with the people during elections. He said that the assurances given to Telangana State under Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act would be fulfilled in a phased manner. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was successful to a great extent in providing a corruption free government. He also listed out various schemes being implemented by the Centre for the welfare of different sections of the society.
Speaking on the occasion, Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy has accused the TRS Government of failure to deal with the drought situation in the State. He said although the Central Government has been providing maximum funds to Telangana for different projects, the TRS leaders have been trying to defame the BJP Government.
Kishan Reddy exhorted the party cadre to take the Central Government’s schemes to door steps of common people.
The meeting was also addressed by BJP National General Secretary Muralidhar Rao, floor leader in Assembly Dr. K. Lakshman and other leaders. (INN)
