The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is learnt to be preparing to face the Assembly elections which are likely to be held in January or February 2015. BJP has announced its nominees named as “Errabelli Rammohan Rao” a social worker from Warangal.
The high command told the State unit that all the prominent central leaders would campaign in Karnataka during the elections. The high command’s logic is that if both states win the Assembly elections, this would serve as a stepping stone for the party to build its national campaign ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
TRS and Congress are yet to announce their candidates, where as TDP might not contest any nominee and support the BJP member. Congress is slipshod in finalizing its nominee. According to party sources, senior leader B Prakash of Warangal is said to be interested.
In view of the stiff competition it has become difficult for the party leaders to finalize their nominee. Even TRS has not launched electioneering, its leaders started enrollment of voters in Warangal, Nalgonda and Khammam districts.
