BJP, AJSU extend support to Anna Hazare

Ranchi, April 08: The ruling coalition partners in Jharkhand – BJP and AJSU, today backed Anna Hazare, demanding that the Centre should immediately agree to all of his demands.

“The BJP has been raising the issue of corruption both in the Parliament and outside it. And we also support Anna Hazare’s demand for Lokpal bill to rein in corruption. The Centre should agree to his demands,” BJP’s state unit spokesman Pradip Sinha told newsmen here.

Supporting Hazare, AJSU party’s vice president Praveen Prabhakar said, “The Manmohan Singh Government should not shy away from anti-corruption issue. Therefore, it should immediately agree to Anna Hazare’s suggestions and demands.”

The CPI (M’s) state unit secretary, J S Majumdar, also extended support to Hazare’s call for the Lokpal Bill, but advocated that the bill should be be shaped as any other bills through the Parliament.
