Jammu, APril 06: BJP today staged a protest here against the National Conference-Congress coalition in Jammu and Kashmir for postponing the elections to civic bodies and charged it with weakening the Accountability Commission.
Hundreds of BJP activists led by district unit president Rajesh Gupta staged a protest at the Kachi Chawni Chowk.
Gupta told reporters that the recent decision of the state government was “a move to murder democracy” at the lower levels.
“Such a decision is the reflection of the mindset of the government towards civic bodies,” he said.
