Telangana BJP president Dr. K. Lakshman has alleged that the TRS workers were attacking the farmers who refused to part with their lands for Mallanna Sagar project.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Lakshman said that the ruling party was inciting violence so as to harass the farmers and force them to handover their lands for Mallanna Sagar project. He said if the Mallanna Sagar project was good, then why the State Government was not taking the opposition parties into confidence. He also slammed the State Government for not making the Detailed Project Report (DPR) public.
Lakshman announced that the BJP would conduct dharnas in all mandals of Medak district on Tuesday. He also announced BJP’s total support to the agitation launched by the farmers. He said that the party would also seek the intervention of Central Government on the issue. (INN)
