BJP accuses Lalu of forcing son into politics

Patna, September 24: Describing the RJD as a “sinking ship”, the BJP today accused Lalu Prasad of compelling his youngest son Tejaswee to take plunge into politics to revive the party’s fortunes in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.

Prasad has been rattled with mass desertion from his party ahead of the polls and decided to bring his 20-year-old son into the whirlpool of politics to revive a “sinking ship”, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters here.

“I know Tejaswee is a good cricketer with a bright future in the game…. He should have been better left to perform on a cricket field,” he observed.

Modi quoted from Tejaswee’s reported remarks that his father does not allow others to speak to drive home their point.
