BJP accused of adopting dual standards on small states

Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLA Dr T. Rajaiah has said that the TRS was launched only for the purpose of achieving separate Telangana State for welfare of the people and development of the region on all fronts.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Rajaiah reminded that TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao brought the decades’ old Telangana issue at the national and level. He opined that Telangana sentiment would win if the TRS won the by-poll in Parakala. He also appealed to the BJP to extend its support to TRS candidate in Parakala by-election.

Stating that the BJP was adopting dual standards on small States in Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, he said that State BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy refrained from resigning to the MLA post for the cause of separate State. He also made it clear that the BJP was not interested in bifurcation of the State. (NSS)
