BJD govt down with ‘mines flu’: Cong

Bhubaneswar, December 06: Alluding to swine flu pandemic the worldover, opposition Congress today said the ruling BJD in Orissa is down with ‘mines flu’ and is wary to face the opposition onslaught over the multi-crore scam.

“While the swine flu had hit several parts of the country, ‘mines flu’ in the form of irregularities in mining activities has badly affected the BJD government, which is too scared to continue the assembly,” state Congress general secretary and former minister Ganeswar Behera told reporters here.

Stating that the House was “abruptly adjourned sine die”, 14 days ahead of schedule, Behera charged, “the assembly was adjourned indefinitely in a hurried manner, as Naveen Patnaik wanted to run away from the opposition attack over the mining scam.
