Ongole, August 07: The birthday party of an engineering student ended on a tragic note with two students being washed away by waves at the Vodarevu beach near Chirala today. Singamsetti Suneel of Nova Engineering College at Ibrahimpatnam went to Vodarevu along with 20 friends to celebrate his birthday.
When the revellers got into the sea, one of them, Ch Mahesh, was washed away at first. Suneel, who tried to save his fried, was also snatched by the strong waves.
