Mumbai, November 01: The sizzling Bollywood hottie is going international. It has been confirmed that Bipasha has been confirmed to play a pivotal role in English-French director Roland Joffe’s film Singularity. The actor will be cast opposite Josh Hartnett who is known for his roles in films like Pearl Harbor, Wicker Park and Sin City.
The film is said to be shot extensively across Australia and India. ‘Singularity’ is also said to star Abhay Deol besides Hollywood actors like Chris Pine, Olga Kurylenko and Christopher Egan.
The film is woven around a riveting tale of an impossible love set across two time periods and continents. It is set in the backdrop of the First Anglo-Maratha War of the 18th century and revolves around four characters – a British officer in colonial India and the Indian woman he falls in love with, an American marine biologist and his researcher lover who gets trapped in a wrecked British merchant ship.
Bipasha to star opposite Josh Hartnett
Reportedly, the actor had a chance meeting with the director at a city hotel in September, following which she received a call from him to act in the movie. Singularity is tentatively slated for a 2011 release.
