A new biography on Salman Khan delving into the personal life and family lineage of the Bollywood superstar, is set to be released on his 50th birthday later this month, publishers said today.
The book “Being Salman” is the first ever to be written on the star, Penguin India said in a statement.
Having made his film debut in 1988, the star has found his place in the hearts of millions, with blockbuster movies ranging from “Maine Pyar Kiya” and “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” to the more recent “Dabangg”, “Ek Tha Tiger”, “Kick” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” to his credit.
Khan’s personal life has often made headlines including his run ins with the law be it the blackbuck poaching case or the hit-and-run case.
The actor is also known for his work with the non-profit charitable organisation, ‘Being Human’, which he runs.
“Which is the real Salman Khan? Why is he the way he is? This book delves into Salman’s family lineage and his personal history to reveal interesting vignettes and unknown facts about the enigmatic and immensely popular superstar, and will help his many fans understand what ‘Being Salman’ is all about,” publishers said.
The book has been authored by Delhi-based journalist Jasim Khan.
