All workers in organized and unorganized sectors will get biometric cards, according to Union Labor and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya.
Speaking to press persons here he said that the Centre has decided to provide Biometric cards to all the workers in the country. Dattatreya stated that the laborers and workers will soon get online services through “Shrama Suvidha” a Central Government Portal and related works have already been expedited for the purpose. The Union Minister also said that they have initiated steps to modernize ESIC and EPF services by linking with Aadhar. A search committee is on to find out hospitals need necessary boost from the government to offer the best health and online services. Penal action will be taken if the companies failed to follow the norms and offer services in time, he warned. (NSS)
