Bio-Diversity meet is being held in city of Hyderabad in October 2012. Govt. is trying to make it a memorable event. To commemorate the event, Govt. Proposes to setup a Bio-Diversity Museum.
In the same way, it also wants to erect a pylon and a Bio-Diversity Park before the commencement of the conference of parties. The conference will be attended by 8000 delegates from 193 countries. Ten heads of the countries and 90-100 ministers of forests from various countries will also attend this conference and deliberate on different issues related to environment, forests, bio-diversity and related topics.
Reviewing the preparations of the conference, Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, CM of AP told that the Bio-Diversity Park will be set up in the vicinity of Hyderabad preferably at Dollapally Reserve Forest Area. The purpose of setting up of this park is to create an awareness among children about the preservation of our natural heritage. India is a signatory to the conference of parties. It is one of the major countries which possesses largest bio reserves.
