Bill on spl financial grants for Bihar introduced in LS

New Delhi, December 04: Bills seeking special financial grants for Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan were among the 52 draft legislations introduced during private members business in the Lok Sabha today.

Among key Bills was one seeking fixing wages of domestic servants introduced by BJP member Arjun Meghwal, while another moved by Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury sought abolition of death penalty to women, children and indigent persons.

NCP member Supriya Sule introduced a bill seeking to make voting compulsory during elections, while Congress MP J P Agarwal moved a draft legislation which sought eradication of unemployment from the country.

Meghwal also introduced bills to make rainwater harvesting compulsory by every household, business establishment and government building and another one seeking to provide for regularisation and universalisation of Integrated Child Development Services in the country.
