Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced to introduce a Bill in the ensuing Assembly session to upgrade Lambada Thandas into Village Panchayats by spending over Rs 3000 crore. He also announced to conduct elections on time for Village Panchayats. “There will be no delay in conducting the elections for panchayats, which will see rapid development”, he said.
Addressing a public meeting at Warangal after laying foundation for Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, KCR stated that he will keep the promise of developing the thandas into village panchayats. The government will offer about Rs 2000 cr to Rs 3000 cr to develop all these villages to become clean places without any scope for garbage, stench and nalas he said. The Chief Minister also said that with cooperation of people the lambada thandas will become the village panchayats and develop using funds.
He also criticized the opposition for making politics on reviving professional communities. We are spending Rs 5000 cr to encourage professional works and strengthen the yadavas and fishermen through schemes of welfare, KCR said. We distributed 28 lakh sheep units to help 40 lakh Yadavs benefit he said adding that villages are being revived financially through lakes restoration and safe water schemes. (NSS)
