Bill to increase Assembly seats in AP, TS soon: Venkaiah Naidu

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said that the Bill to increase the number of Assembly segments in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was pending for approval with the Union Law Ministry.

Speaking to media persons along with Telangana BJP President Dr. K. Lakshman in New Delhi on Sunday, Venkaiah Naidu said that the Bill might be tabled in the second half of budget session of Parliament. He said that the Central Government was keen to introduce the Bill and it would be done on priority basis.

Venkaiah Naidu hoped that BJP would emerge as a major political power in Telangana State.

Meanwhile, Dr. Lakshman said that the BJP was conducting a public meeting on April 22 to inform the people about various schemes being implemented by the Central Government. (INN)
