Ramgopal pet Police arrested 72 youths; most of them are college student, involved in performing crazy stunt at Necklace Road.
According to police, the central zone police had organized a special operation against bike racing after a complain raised by morning walkers and locals, resulting in the arrest of youths involved in speedy and reckless riding.
The races happen mainly during weekends. The racers indulge in various styles like wheeling and zigzag riding. They often placed bets on the outcome of the races, which may take their lives.
The arrested youths are between 15 to 18 years of age. “We let them go after they counseled along with their Parents, we have warned them that, “they will not indulge in this kind of adventure in future”, said a police officer.
