Bijnor Train Rape Case: Letter to Modi Ji on behalf of female citizens

Respected PM Modi Ji,

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for the sharp steep in GDP growth i.e. 6.1%, down from 7% in last quarter.

Now, allow me the honor to exhibit the mirror of developments taking place in Uttar Pradesh in the ruling elite:

  • Number of murder rose from 286 in January to 396 in March and 399 in April this year. Cases of rape rose from 244 to 378 in March and 393 in April this year – according to the crime graph presented in

One such rape took place on Tuesday, when a savior turned into a rapist – thereby marking a dark spot on Indian Constitution.

A 25-year-old woman belonging to the minority community boarded Chandigarh-Lucknow Express mistakenly. Due to some reason she started feeling un-comfortable as she was ill.

‘Maybe it was her mistake to trust the Indian law enforcement!

She trusted the person given the power for saving the nation, the person appointed for protecting the citizens, the person subjected to end crime and what not.

May it was all her mistake!’

However, when she asked help from the escort who was on duty, the 24-yr-old Constable Kumar Shukla, advised her to shift to another compartment reserved for the disabled.  The train reached Chandpur railway station at around 8 am. Shukla, taking the advantage of the scenario took the woman to the reserved coach, where three youths were seated. As per the SP, the constable forced the youths to shift to another coach and raped the woman!

Now, what is sending chills down the spine is the video of constable Shukla, peacefully having lunch at the police station soon after committing heinous crime.

It’s been 48 hours now but the jurisdiction doesn’t seem to bat an eye on the incident.

For your easement, here is a video of the witnesses describing the crime scene:

In this case I on behalf of every girl citizen would like to ask a simple question to the ‘Indian law Enforcement’:

“Who should we trust now?”

Therefore, I humbly request you to look into the crumbling law and order which is shattering the image of the sovereignty in Mother India.

Sana Sikander,

Citizen of India.
