Gaya, (Bihar), Aug. 9 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Sunday launched a blistering attack on the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Government, saying the state has been reeling under jungle-raj for the past 15 years.
“There was a jungle-raj in Bihar for over 15 years. Today is 9th August, the day when Gandhi ji gave the slogan of ‘Angrezo Bharat Chhodo’. People of Bihar must also take a pledge today that jungle-raj should quit Bihar and that an NDA Government be formed here,” he said while addressing a rally in Gaya.
The BJP president further said that the NDA Government wanted development and progress in the eastern part of the country.
“Modi ji wants electricity, water and employment opportunities to reach each and every village of Bihar. The NDA Government wants the development and progress in the eastern part of the country,” he added.
The BJP, which along with its allies had won 31 of the 40 seats in Bihar in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, is set for a battle against a united Janata Parivar comprising of the JD (U) and RJD. (ANI)
