Patna: The AIMIM has decided to contest Bihar assembly elections in the state’s Seemanchal region.
Party president Asaduddin Owaisi announced this here on Saturday.
He told reporters that All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) will soon announce the number of seats it will be contesting.
Owaisi said, “There are multiple fronts for the people of Bihar. Seemanchal region has been ignored by all major parties for decades. We want development of the region which is backward now.”
Seemanchal region in Bihar comprising four districts Araria, Katihar, Purnia and Kishanganj has 24 assembly constituencies.
