Bihar opposition leader not to celebrate Holi

Patna, March 19: Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Abdul Bari Siddique today said that he would not celebrate Holi this year in solidarity with lakhs of primary school teachers, who have not been paid their salaries for over five months by the NDA government.

“I have decided against celebrating Holi as lakhs of primary teachers have not been paid their salaries by the state government for several months and under the circumstance it was unlikely that the teachers and their families will be in a mood to participate in the festivity,” he told PTI here.
